Synopsis

Take a good look at your present yard. Couldn't it be better? Anyone can design a new landscape or improve an existing one. First, think about what you really want. Examine all the basic design principles you'll need: see how to develop a working plan, measure your lot and house, draw to scale, and make a base plan. Choose plants and materials carefully, and get started! * Decide what you like and don't like about your yard--the sun exposure, the flowers and plants there, the view from your house, lack of privacy, or too much wind.* Realistically consider your lifestyle, the climate, and the state of your soil. * Use your creativity, draw everything out carefully, test ideas, and select the right plants.* Get 13 elements that add value to your home. You'll soon have the satisfaction of a job well done! Sterling 64 pages (all in color), 5 1/4 x 8 7/8.
