Here is an interesting, timely, well-written book in which everything you ever wanted to know about the compact disk and more is explained. In summary, this is a good book. It's written in plain English. It's clear that the author enjoys his subject and knows how to teach and to write. I recommend it if you are interested in the technical aspects of CDs, or even if you just enjoy good technical storytelling. (Computer Music Journal)
compelling and fascinating reading, written by an expert with the knack of making complex explanations understandable. (Image Technology)
