This is a compendium of current and classic articles on the spine that are reprinted from the "Instructional Course Lectures" from 1995 onwards. Dr An has organized 34 articles into nine sections, including degenerative cervical disorders, herniated lumbar disk, lumbar spinal stenosis, pediatric spine, spondylolisthesis, adult spinal deformities, cervical spine trauma, thoracolumbar spine trauma and osteoporatic spine, which cover virtually all aspects of spine surgery. Leading spine surgeons were recruited to review the articles in each section. Each reviewr described the most important points of the article, added supplementary or missing informations and commented on the current treatment on the specific disorder.
