Synopsis
Based on lectures given on orthopaedic surgery, this volume includes chapters on cumulative trauma, cartilage, imaging, blood management, outcomes, and defense against malpractice suits, in addition to extensive sections on the spine, hip, knee, wrist, and foot and ankle. This edition also contains a complementary CD-ROM of selected video clips taken from the lectures as presented at the Academy's 1998 Annual Meeting in New Orleans. These clips will be referred to in the text of the chapters and are designed to enhance the written word with actual demonstrations of surgical techniques.
