Synopsis
Like the previous four Updates , presents the basic information with which all orthopedic surgeons should be familiar. However, since the publication of OKU 4 , the Academy has begun to publish subspecialty OKUs which cover all areas in greater detail than is possible in this text (the editors of the present work have tried to avoid presenting data or opinions that conflict with the content of the subspecialty OKUs ). Organization is anatomic, with sections on the upper extremity, lower extremity, and spine; pediatric and adult conditions are included together.
