Synopsis

Explains a method of designing systems, products, and modules whose specifications do not change over the life of the product, though it allows changes in specifications during the design process and is applicable to products and services that are subject to some degree of unpredictable variations in their components It also can be used to develop such non-hardware items as algorithms that must work with random inputs, an example of which would be an investment strategy for the financial industry that maximizes the probability of return in a given range. Suitable for product developers and design engineers. The accompanying CD-ROM contains simulation files and software that run in either Windows or Macintosh. Annotation c. by Book News, Inc., Portland, Or.
