Book by Ellis, Sarah

This is a book that makes people tell me stories.
For me the most enjoyable result of the publication of this book has been that it seems to spark storytelling. People who were adopted, adoptive parents, birth parents, people who wished they had been adopted, and all the families of all of the above -- I've heard some great stories, funny, sad, intense. I think there must be something in all of us that wants to create other families for ourselves, perhaps because they would make us different people. Or maybe we just all want a surprise.
After discovering that she has a twenty-four-year-old half-sister, twelve-year-old Megan finds the well-defined edges of her life disappearing into confusion.
