Kenneth Patchen, an American poet and novelist, was known for his experimental and multifaceted approach to writing. His work often blended poetry, prose, painting, and jazz music. In "The City Wears a Slouch Hat," Patchen weaves together elements of absurdism and political commentary. In "Don't Look Now," he creates a lyrical and quirky exploration of life in the city. Manuscripts of these two plays, the last unpublished work of Kenneth Patchen of any significance, were recently discovered by his widow, Miriam. Though they were both performed by small theatre groupes in the 40s and 50s, they have never before appeared in book form. A Noel Young book. Contents: Don't look now. The city wears a slouch hat. //American drama, Autographs (Provenance), Drama, Poetry, Poetry Drama, Th??tre am?ricain. Fine to near fine copy.
