The Mathematics Association of America organized workshops in math-related areas known as the Curriculum Foundations Project in order to improve the undergraduate mathematics curriculum by investigating its relationship to other areas. Editors Ganter (Clemson University) and Barker (Bowdoin College) summarize findings and suggestions from prepared questions during the workshop, including the first two years of study in those disciplines, how they influence the study of math, and technology. Areas involved are the sciences, engineering, computer science, physics, statistics, and technical mathematics. Some chapters have bibliographies; there is no general bibliography or index.
