First edition thus. Hardcover. 112 pages. A larger and more accessible edition than the previous two editions. A classic collaboration that features text by Langston Hughes and black and white images by Roy DeCarava. A clean near fine in cloth boards in a very good plus dust jacket with some small edge tears, minor wear and some slight sunning to the spine. Signed by DeCarava on the title page and with a laid in vintage receipt from Witkin gallery. The original edition was featured in both Parr & Badger v1, 242 and Roth 138-139. A nice association copy.
