About the Author

Sheri Jacobs, CAE, is the president and chief strategist at the Avenue M Group, LLC. She formed the Avenue M Group to provide associations with a smart, creative, passionate and experienced advisor around issues of marketing and membership. A senior executive and an association management veteran, Sheri’s marketing and association experience spans nearly two decades and includes roles as the chief marketing officer at the Association Forum of Chicagoland and director of membership marketing at the American Bar Association Law Practice Management Section and the American Academy of Implant Dentistry.

Sheri is a frequent speaker and a contributor to various associations and publications. She is a past chair for ASAE and The Center for Association Leadership Membership Council and a member of the 2009/2010 ASAE Marketing Council.
