Peter Lesica has worked as a botanist for 40 years, primarily in Montana but including almost two dozen springtime trips to Southern Utah. He and Shannon Kimball are authors of Wildflowers of Glacier National Park and Trees and Shrubs of Glacier National Park, also published by Trillium Press.
Walter Fertig has worked as a natural heritage program botanist in Wyoming and Washington. He has nearly 30 years of experience studying rare plants and plant geography in the Rocky Mountains, Colorado Plateau, and Pacific Northwest. He is the author of plant checklists for each of the major national parks and monuments in southern Utah.
