About the Author

Native Minnesotan Marlene Chabot is a member of Sisters in Crime and Marco Island Writers. She received a B.S. degree in education from St. Cloud State Universtiy, an A.A.S. business marketing degree from Anoka-Ramsey Community College, and a writer's certificate from the Institute of Children's Literature. An avid mystery fan since a youngster, Marlene began her writing career in 1995 and has published five novels, three short stories, and numerous freelance articles for magazines, newspapers, and other venues covering Central Minnesota. She enjoys time spent with her family, two grown children and grandchildren. When not writing, she can be found gardening, walking, biking, reading books, or watching shows with mystery themes.
