Connecting With Others for grades 9 through 12 is a proactive program helps high school students learn skills in self-advocacy, communication, interpersonal behaviors, and problem solving. It includes 40 learning activities that take into consideration cultural, ethnic, and gender diversity. The activities are divided into the following skill areas: Awareness of Self and Others, Communication, Responsibility, Conflict Resolution, Cooperation, Love and Empathy, Personal Growth, Preparing for Adulthood.

About the Author
Dr Rita Coombs-Richardson, Ph.D., is a Visiting Professor at the University of Houston-Victoria, Texas, USA. She has taught at numerous colleges and universities. She also has experience as a teacher in special and general education programs at the elementary and secondary levels.
Dr Charles H. Meisgeier, Ph.D., is a noted expert in the identification and accomodation of personality types in children. He is currently Coordinator of Special Education and Professor of Educational Psychology at the University of Houston, USA. Dr. Meisgeier has consulted with schools, colleges, and agencies, and has conducted workshops and training programs in the United States and in Europe.
