FRAN FERDER, FSPA, is a Franciscan sister, clinical psychologist, university professor, and author. Since 1985 she has been co-director of Therapy and Renewal Associates (TARA), a counseling and consultation resource in the Pacific Northwest. She is also an Adjunct Professor in the School of Theology and Ministry at Seattle University, where she teaches graduate courses in pastoral care skills and Christian sexuality. Sr. Fran has authored several books, including Words Made Flesh and, with John Heagle, Tender Fires. She is a frequent presenter at national and international workshops in areas of biblical spirituality and human communication, Christian sexuality, and other topics.
