Slightest of edge wear to jacket. The history of the bolt action rifle traces back to the Dreyse Needle Gun of 1838. But the first truly effective bolt action rifle was the Mauser 98 with which the author begins this book. Going into the design features of that action in full detail, he goes on to examine 15 of its successors, culminating in the Winchester Model 70 of 196 and the Mossberg Model 810 of 1971. Size: 8vo.
