Synopsis
Two large, 98cm x 140cm, folded posters in slipcase designed & drawn by Richard & Roderic Hamilton. This "map" interprets the upper & lower sections of Duchamp's "Large Glass", Brides & Bachelors, respectively and provides a "road map" to one of the most important works of contemporary art. Richard Hamilton is widely known as the designer of the LP cover for the Beatles "White Album" and the progenitor of Pop Art w/his 1956 piece, "Just what is it that makes…". Hamilton died in 2011. Printed by MAME, Tours, France, August 2002, edition is unsigned, unnumbered, & limited but size unknown. 2 folded posters in clear plastic sleeve; each unfolds to about 55 x 38 inches; very good condition except both posters have scattered stress creases, mostly around the center fold line and the creases are more pronounced in the Bride Motor poster.
