About the Author

Sonia M. Helton, Ph.D., is a professor of Childhood Education at the University of South Florida at St. Petersburg. She currently teaches courses in elementary math and language arts, and is the author of Math Activities for Every Month of the School Year (1990, The Center for Applied Research in Education).

Stephen J. Micklo, Ph.D., is a professor of Childhood Education at the University of South Florida at St. Petersburg. He currently teaches early childhood and elementary math methods courses.
