Synopsis

This book explores the concept of total body load, which is the total of pollutants in air, food, and water that the body incorporates and then has to process in order to maintain homeostasis. The 11 chapters of this volume identify various sources of pollutants that can contribute to elevating total body load, including water, food, food toxins, outdoor and indoor air, inorganic and organic chemicals, pesticides, formaldehyde, terpenes and drugs.
