About the Author

Elinor Peace Bailey travels about the country, teaching women to make dolls and is a creative consultant for Crafts Magazine. She designs fabric for Concord Fabrics and for Daisy Kingdom and has written Mother Plays With Dolls and The Rag Doll From Plain to Fancy. Bailey has published and marketed her own line of 41 patterns and booklets on doll face painting, doll hair and wearable dolls. Noreen Crone-Findlay wrote 'Soul Mate Dolls: Dollmaking as a Healing Art. She's a wife, mother of a daughter and a son, designer, doll artist, workshop facilitator and a professional puppeteer, that performs 250 shows a year for young children.
