About the Author
Prue Theobalds has an interest in old toys, particularly teddy bears, which she drew for her own pleasure. In 1986 Blackie Children's Books invited her to do illustrations for a picture book version of Jimmy Kennedy's The Teddy Bear's Picnic, which has now sold over 600,000 copies throughout the English-speaking world. Prue is best known for her children's books and an extensive range of cards and gift stationery, mainly featuring teddy bears. Her designs have been licensed for textiles, tinware, jewellery, ceramics and wooden nursery ware. She has also designed for the National Trust, Scotland and Burberry's children's department and is now considered one of Britains foremost teddy bear illustrators.
Synopsis
A rhyming counting book for young children. The child can count along as one teddy is joined by another and another, for tea and bath and storytime, until there are ten tired teddies tucked up snugly in bed.
