Synopsis
The emphasis of this text is on how to solve differential equations and how to interpret these equations and their solutions in a physical setting. Zill strikes a balance between methodology, applications and the theoretical foundation of the subject and includes numerous examples, exercises and BASIC programs for the numerical methods. This edition features a completely new section on circuits and systems, and additional material on the static deflection of beams. Bernoulli's equation and the alternative method for solving the Cauchy-Euler equation have been moved from the exercises and are now covered within the main text.
