Among the exquisite pieces of glass in this catalog are 15th-, 16th-, and 17th-century Venetian pieces and glass la facon de Venisefrom northern Europe; 18th-century lampwork miniature figures, many of them installed in elaborate tableaux; reverse painted panels from 16th-century Northern Italy, and ancient Roman and Islamic glass, seen in 382 duotone and 97 color photographs. About the Author
Dwight P. Lanmon, a student and collector of Pueblo pottery, is research associate at the School of Advanced Research and the Museum of Indian Arts and Culture in Santa Fe. He is director emeritus of the Winterthur Museum and former director of the Corning Museum of Glass.
