Dr Edward Freeman FRCS(Edin), is a Patron of the ociety for the Advancwement of Brain Injured Children, Scotland, and a member of the International Working Party on Persistent Vegetative State, London. He is the medical consultant to the National Brain Injury Foundation in Australia where he now practices, and a co-editor of The Journal of Community Rehabilitation in Acquired Brain Injury. He has devoted over twenty years researching brain injury and coma and is the author of Catastrophe of Coma
