Synopsis
In this guide the reader is taken around Britain in the order in which the Civil War progresed from village to village. Detailed accounts are made of the time the major events took place, how they were started and why, to their dramatic end and the restoration of Charles 11. It also includes additional sections on sieges, the New Model Army and other important aspects of seventeenth century warfare. The author has also studied the financial and social effects of the Civil Wars on the population of Britain as a whole. The author also wrote "The North Midland Royalists".
