Stell 1979', and previous owner's bookplate to front pastedown, internally clean tight and square, overall a vg+ copy for its age. 96pp, lavishly illustrated. 'Lavengro' is a Romany word meaning 'word master', and this particular Lavengro was an elderly poet and writer who met Juliet Jeffery at Appleby Horse Fair (we are not told his name).
