About the Author

Norman Cameron (1905-53) was born in Bombay in 1905, and brought up in Edinburgh. His later years were centred in England, where he worked in advertising and was famous for creating the Horlicks 'Night Starvation' campaign. Warren Hope was born in Philadelphia, PA in 1944 and now teaches at the Montgomery County Community College. He is the author of critical studies of Frost, Heaney, Larkin, Orwell and Shakespeare, and 'Adam's Thoughts in Winter: A Selection of Poems 1970-2000'. His biography, 'Norman Cameron: His Life, Work and Letters', was published in 2000. Jonathan Barker lives in London and is a poetry critic. He has worked as Librarian of the Arts Council Poetry Library and Deputy Director of Literature for the British Council. He has edited bibliographies of contemporary poetry, poetry anthologies, an edition of the poems of W.H. Davies and a book of critical essays on Edward Thomas.
