Corner clipped dust jacket in protective mylar. For African hunting interest this is a must read. The greatest of all elephant books, and perhaps one of the greatest elephant hunters, "Karamojo" Bell. (A rare item in first edition.) Bell writes of days at the beginning of the century when there was little or no restriction on the pursuit of big game and when elephant tusks fetched a tidy sum, savage tribes were still a menace and African potentates held sway, when there were bands of slavers and vast stretches of unknown territory.
