The title of this book was also the advertising slogan of the Manufacturer of this very British Motor Cycle. Like many others, the company history starts with the traditional 'Orginary' or Penny Farthing which Publican Dan Rudge built & raced successfully in 1869, in 1870 he was producing at Coventry to sell and the evolution to the 'Safety' followed the pattern of the day. Motor powered bikes were of course the next step and the Rudge was appreciated for its quality & reliability, but was also a machine suitable for competition in both Trials & Racing at the highest level. Alas, missed opportunities and just bad luck prevented the factory closure in 1939. The Rudge especially the 'Ulster' were sorely missed by 'Bikers' of the time and today like other quality marques have a keen following, ensuring that surviving bikes will always be maintained and ridden for many generations to come. A Superb Marque History. The book runs to 174 pages.
