About the Author

Major Nigel Bovey is a Salvation Army officer. Before becoming an officer, he taught Mathematics, Sociology and Economics in a comprehensive school. He and his wife Margaret served as corps officers in Northern Ireland and England before Nigel was appointed to 'The War Cry' staff in 1994. He is the author of 'Telling a Children's Story', 'The Mercy Seat', 'Christians in the House', 'God, The Big Bang and Bunsen-burning Issues' and 'The Mercy Seat Revisited'. He is also a published songwriter, lyricist and poet. He is the Editor of 'The War Cry'.
