Synopsis
This volume provides a general exposition on the modelling of cavity photons by the combined application of point process theory and branching process techniques. Most of the features of the models and the results derived have not appeared in book form. The book emphasizes non-Markov evolution, and most of the features of these models and the derived results have not appeared in the literature to date. The material is addressed mainly to applied probabilists and optical physicists who wish to learn more about the potential use of stochastics.
