Come Follow Me is a series of exegetical reflections based on the assigned Gospel reading for the Sundays of a liturgical year. Each reflection contains insights that are explained and applied to the lived experience of a Christian disciple. Each insight section concludes with a set of questions intended to help the reader apply the various points to their practical faith lives. The primary focus of this writing is to facilitate both personal discipleship study of the Gospels as well as to promote small group discipleship discussions. This emphasis on discipleship is prepared in response to the call for New Evangelization in the Catholic Church as well as the renewed focus on scripture based faith formation at a parish level. It is a resource beneficial for parishioners, homilists, and parish ministry staff.

What's becoming so evident is that the markers of a vibrant, fruitful spiritual life for a Catholic are full and faithful participation at Sunday Mass. More and more of our people are eager to prepare better for that highlight of the week. Monsignor Mueggenborg's thoughtful, incisive reflection on God's Word each Sabbath is just what we-people and preachers-need. His Eminence Timothy Cardinal Dolan, Archbishop of New York Penetrating reflections on the Word proclaimed at Sunday Mass, from an experienced pastor who knows how to challenge his people to see the world through Biblical lenses in order to live out the New Evangelization. George Weigel, Distinguished Senior Fellow, Ethics and Public Policy Center, Washington, DC Come Follow Me is a powerful spiritual tool for both priests and laity alike. In each of these meditations,Msgr Daniel Mueggenborg inspires and challenges the reader to ponder more deeply on our response to the Lord's invitation to "follow Me". These reflections open for us the rich spiritual treasure of each Sunday's readings and beckon us to respond more fully and to deepen our friendship with the Lord Jesus. Come Follow Me is a special gift to assist every reader in their faith development. In a special way for my brother priests, I recommend Come Follow Me as a valuable guide for homily preparation and pastoral reflection. Most Rev. James Checchio, Bishop of Metuchen, New Jersey Rector of the Pontifical North American College (2006-2016)
