Synopsis
A seminal compilation of short essays and illustrations of women animators. Issued by the British Film Institute in 1992, this was the first book to highlight the emergence of women as a creative force in animated film. There are sections focusing on female animators working in the USA, the UK and elsewhere in Europe, India, Russia and Australia. The editor, Jayne Pilling, went on to found the British Animation Awards.
