Synopsis
A detailed study of pike, this book uses the authors' knowledge of pike behaviour, firmly rooted in both scientific method and practical experience. The book examines the predatory behaviour of the pike, its feeding pattern and the impact of climatic conditions on behaviour. The authors use their understanding of pike behaviour to underpin their case for conservation, in which they detail the basic role of the pike in various waters and consider the pressures to which it is subjected and how these might be relieved.
