Synopsis
The book contains the edited proceedings of the 3rd International Occupational Ergonomics Symposium, held in Zadar, Yugoslavia in April 1989. The first symposium was concerned with working posture, the second with applied methodology and this third particpative symposium deals with the design and redesign of work. The major interest is in looking at work as a total experience and how this influences employee motivation and acceptance of work conditions, discussing the practical implementation of work design initiatives, and the participation and operational structures required to develop new forms of work organisation.
