Bobbito Garcia is the author of Where'd You Get Those? New York City's Sneaker Culture: 1960-1987, widely considered to be the industry tome. He has since directed a TV show about sneakers on ESPN, collaborated with Nike, directed a film, and has seen his work featured in the first college course on sneakers - Sneakerology 101.
Acclaimed shoe historian Elizabeth Semmelhack is Senior Curator at the Bata Shoe Museum, where she has curated exhibitions such as Roger Vivier and On a Pedestal. Semmelhack is the author of numerous publications on shoes and cultural history, including Heights of Fashion: A History of the Elevated Shoe. Ada Hopkins is a conservator at the Bata Shoe Museum. Dee Wells is the creator of Obsessive Sneaker Disorder. Tinker Hatfield is a Nike designer. Eric Avar is Nike's creative director. Cey Adams was the founding creative director of Def Jam Records. Darryl McDaniels is a member of the hip-hop group Run-D.M.C. Walt Frazier is a former professional basketball player. Adam Horovitz is a member of the hip-hop group the Beastie Boys. Christian Louboutin is a footwear designer.
