About the Author
Florence Müller is an art and fashion historian and curator of numerous important exhibitions. She is professor at the Institut Français de la Mode. Philippe Thiébaut is the curator of the Musée d’Orsay. Farid Chenoune is a fashion historian and professor at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs.

Text is clean and unmarked, binding tight. Cloth cover is very clean and shows little if any signs of wear, inscribed on title page. This is a book about the dress that made von Furstenberg famous. The wrap hit the runway and has never looked back. It was the 1970ies, women had gone en masse into the workforce, 5 million sold in quick order as the dress went with ease from the office to dinner around the world. Times changed and a new generation of women discovered this treasure and began to scout thrift stores, and search for this gem. Back in production in 2014 this is not only the story of the dress but of von Furstenberg's highs and lows in the mad world of fashion. Loaded with color and B&W photos, index, 240 pages.
