he Basics of Speech addresses a very important skill--communication. This introductory text addresses interpersonal and group communication, public speaking, debate, parliamentary procedure, and oral interpretation. Based on the concept that oral communication is a skill learned by doing, students are involved in thinking and expressing themselves from the first to the last chapter.
