The diary opens at Watts Common Aldershot on 17 May 1915. 1915 is spent at Ypres, Watou, Vlamertinghe, Rubrouck and Watts Common Aldershot. 1916 at Arras, Buneville, Elverdinghe, Berneville and Dainville. 1917 at Arras, Telegraph Hill, Kemmel, Wulverghem and Berneville. 1918 is the most travelled year, 28 places against 20 in the next busiest, and is spent at Montescourt, Clastres 66C, Clenleu, Molinghem and Torcy. It closes at Torcy on 31 May 1918. Arras is where it spent longest, 206 days across eight separate stays and the longest it stayed anywhere without moving was 84 days at Ypres.
