"Few were more popular with children at World Conferences during the 1950s and 1960s than the cowboy from Colorado Springs, Irby Mundy. Donning his Stetson hat, western clothes, neckerchief, and boots, children flocked to him as he sat in his reserved seat on the front in the conference chamber. Competing on the professional rodeo circuit Mundy was declared Worlds Champion calf roper in 1934 and wore his famed belt buckle until his death in 1973. He even demonstrated roping tricks between services on the conference floor." Illustrated with photographs including one of Irby with Roy Rogers in 1942.
