This collection of subroutines is designed to work on any IBM-compatible computer running DOS. Leo Scanlon and Mark Parker have compiled a source code toolbox that experienced C and assembly language programmers can draw on as needed, saving them the hours or days it can take to create subroutines from scratch. The subroutines featured here perform such tasks as high-precision maths code conversions, disk and file management, string and list manipulation, and I/O control. "DOS Subroutines for C and Assembler" can even be used as a mini-tutorial. It provides an overview of 8086, 8088, 80286, and 80386 microprocessors, with instruction sets and hand-on experience with Macro Assembler, Turbo Assembler, Microsoft C and Turbo C++.
