This is an essential text for students of gerontology and public health, and a useful reference for practitioners. Clearly and concisely written, this thoroughly updated edition points out the goals, target populations, and important components in a multitude of programs. These programs include income maintenance, transportation, nutrition, housing, in-home services, adult day care, and long-term care institutions. The author clarifies the relationship of federal legislation and funding to the programs on state and local levels.
