Particularly useful for manufacturing technicians and engineers is the information on the characterization of thin films . Also useful are the chapters on the physical properties of many common materials used in the fabrication of thin film coatings. The author has done a nice job of mixing explanations with helpful charts, graphs and figures. Well-written and generally easy to understand and follow, the book will be very useful to anyone who designs or builds optical thin films.
