The subject matter pertains principally to the period between 1820 and 1950--from a time before the first of these Fords reached America, until after the death of Henry Ford the industrialist, who was by far their most note-worthy member.

He traces the family from England to Ireland and then to America where in 1832 they lived in the wilderness of Michigan Territory. It includes numerous photos, illustrations. and maps as well as genealogical charts. A list of sources accompanies each chapter. A nice clean, tight and unmarked book with no interior or exterior markings.
