I am Dee Porter, the third writer on the book.
The main theme of the book is that Gangs are a community problem not just a police, parents, or school problem. The communities need to work together to erradicate the problem. If a small community knows what to look for and takes immediate steps to control the small problems it will not grow into a Chicago, New York, or Los Angeles problem.
