About the Author
David B. Sandalow is energy and environment scholar and a senior fellow in Foreign Policy Studies at the Brookings Institution. He is a former assistant secretary of state and senior director on the National Security Council staff, and he is the author of Freedom from Oil: How the Next President Can End the United States' Oil Addiction (McGraw-Hill, 2007).
