Synopsis
Now students can hear the sounds they're studying by listening to an audio-cassette or compact disc included with the book. 29 breath sounds (including neonatal and pediatric examples) have been recorded from actual patients via a stethoscope for added realism. The book addresses the principles of sound generation and analysis, from anatomy and physiology to the equipment used in interpreting lung sounds. Case studies are presented to connect the principles to the real-life practice of lung sound interpretation.
