Synopsis
This volume encapsulates the papers presented at a series of conferences held by the Gallatin Division of New York University which addressed questions of help to insurance regulators at the policy making stage. The theoretical basis upon which the conferences were posited was that there is a shift to a greater use of services rather than manufacturing or agriculture in today's society and that in this shifting period, the insurance sector becomes an important one.
