The catechumenate has been the means of encouraging some marginalized Catholics to return to more active membership in the Church. But while the catechumenate offers them support that has long been missing in the parish, it cannot address all their needs and concerns. This book details the experience of one parish that created a special program of reconciliation to meet the special needs of alienated and inactive Catholics. Their team, which they named "the Re Membering Community," developed an ongoing program of conversion, reconciliation, and remembrance of the baptismal heritage and communion Catholics share with God and each other. Using their program as a guide, other parish communities may begin their own ministry of reconciliation in "remembering" and "re membering."
