New to this edition are: illustrations showing the latest implants; updated terminology - more detailed anatomy; an added section on lingualized occlusion; revisions of chapters on anatomy and physiology, mandibular movements, hinge axis and facebow, maxillomandibular, and surgical preparations for complete dentures; a special chapter on articulators; and illustrations on implants. The book is technique-oriented and relates the basic sciences of anatomy, phsyiology, pathology, pharmacology and psychology with the art and mechanics involved in complete denture construction.
